What roles do
Roles control what each member can see and do in your organization. Permissions are grouped by area — leads, referral links, users, and roles. A member's effective access is the combined set of permissions across all the roles they hold.
Roles you start with
Every organization starts with one role:
- Owner — the person who created the organization. Holds every permission. The owner role can't be edited or deleted.
Create a role
You need the Manage roles permission (owners have it). Go to the Team page'sRoles tab:
- Enter a role name (e.g.
supervisor) and a label shown in the UI (e.g.Supervisor). - Click Create.
- Click Edit next to the new role to tick its permissions.
- Click Save.
Permissions
The available permissions are:
- Leads — read your own leads, or read all leads in the organization. The Review lane (contacts waiting for a decision) is read-all only: a member with just "read your own leads" sees their own list and no Review tab. Update lets a member change a lead: send replies, add notes, move the stage, and edit contact details. Without it, a member can read threads and prepare AI drafts, but the reply box's Send button stays disabled.
- Referral — view your referral link and its settings.
- Users — create users, list users, and reset passwords.
- Managers — create manager accounts.
- Roles — manage roles, branding, and hostnames.
Edit a role
On the Roles tab, click Edit on a role row, tick or untick permissions, then Save. Changes apply to every member holding the role immediately.
Delete a role
Click Delete on a role row. The owner role can't be deleted. Members holding a deleted role lose that role's permissions, so they may lose access to parts of the workspace.
